Houston, Texas
Holiday cheer has been scarce around the home of Houston police officer Cedric Lincoln.
In fact, he was arrested and charged in a domestic violence case Saturday, according to deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.
Lincoln is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to deputies, Lincoln showed up at his estranged wife's house in Cypress under the influence with a gun early Saturday morning.
Lincoln noticed that her boyfriend's truck was outside the home. The officer then entered the home through the garage and confronted the couple when they were sleeping, deputies said.
Deputies said Lincoln put a gun to the boyfriend's head and made him leave. He ran out and called 911.
Lincoln then placed the gun towards his wife’s head, threatening to kill her.
Lincoln has been relieved of his duty as an officer with pay until an internal investigation is completed.
